Removal of the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst Inlet Pressure Sensor

Remove as follows:
1. Shut off engine and apply the parking brake, chock the wheels, and perform any other applicable safety
steps.

To avoid injury from electrical shock, use care when connecting battery cables. The magnetic switch
studs are at battery voltage.
2. Disconnect the batteries.
3. Remove the bolt (2) securing the sensor box cover and remove the cover (1).
4. Disconnect the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) inlet pressure sensor electrical connector.
5. Loosen clamp on the DOC inlet pressure sensor hose (4) and slide it away from the inlet pressure sensor.
6. Remove C-clip retaining the DOC inlet pressure sensor to the sensor box.
7. Remove the DOC inlet pressure sensor (3).

Installation of the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst Inlet Pressure Sensor

To avoid injury from electrical shock, use care when connecting battery cables. The magnetic switch
studs are at battery voltage.
Install as follows:
1. Install the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) inlet pressure sensor (3) into the sensor box.
2. Install C-clip.
3. Install the DOC inlet pressure sensor hose clamp.
4. Connect the DOC inlet pressure sensor electrical connector.
5. Install the sensor box cover (1) and tighten the mounting bolt (2). Torque the bolt to 10 N·m (7 lb·ft).

6. Connect the batteries.

Removal of the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst Inlet Temperature
Sensor

1. Shut off engine and apply the parking brake, chock the wheels, and perform any other applicable safety
steps.

To avoid injury from electrical shock, use care when connecting battery cables. The magnetic switch
studs are at battery voltage.
2. Disconnect the batteries. Refer to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) procedures.
3. Disconnect the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst Inlet (DOC) temperature sensor electrical connector (2) and
remove from the mounting bracket.
4. Remove the DOC inlet temperature sensor (1).

Installation of the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst Inlet Temperature
Sensor

1. Apply high temperature anti-seize to the threads of the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) inlet temperature
sensor, but do not allow any to get on the sensor probe.
Note : DO NOT use excessive amounts; anti-seize will squeeze out during installation. DO NOT over-tighten
sensors; damage to threads may occur.
2. Install the DOC inlet temperature sensor (1). Torque to 35 to 38 N·m (26 to 28 lb·ft).
3. Connect the DOC inlet temperature sensor electrical connector (2) and install onto the mounting bracket.

To avoid injury from electrical shock, use care when connecting battery cables. The magnetic switch
studs are at battery voltage.
4. Connect the batteries. Refer to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) procedures.

Removal of the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst Outlet Temperature
Sensor

3. Disconnect the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) outlet temperature sensor electrical connector (2) and
remove from the mounting bracket.
4. Remove the DOC outlet temperature sensor (1)
