Removal of the 1-BOX™ Aftertreatment Harness
Remove as follows:
1. Shut off the engine, apply the parking brake, chock the wheels, and perform any other applicable safety
steps.
2. Disconnect the batteries. Refer to OEM procedures.
3. If necessary, remove the passenger side fairing. Refer to OEM procedures.
4. Note the 1-BOX™ harness routing and zip tie mounting locations.
5. Disconnect the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) Inlet NOx sensor Electronic Control Unit (ECU)
electrical connector (1).
6. Disconnect the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) inlet temperature sensor electrical connector (6) and
remove from the mounting bracket.
7. Disconnect the DOC outlet temperature sensor electrical connector (5) and remove from the mounting
bracket.
8. Slide back the protective sleeve (3) and disconnect the DOC inlet pressure sensor electrical connector (4).
9. Remove the front edge biter clip (2).
10. If necessary, remove the top step bracket to access the front sensor bridge mounting bolt.
11. Remove the front and rear sensor bridge mounting bolts (1).
12. Disconnect both 18-pin electrical connectors (4).
13. Disconnect the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) outlet temp sensor electrical connector (3) and remove from
the mounting bracket).
14. Remove the rear edge biter clip (2).
15. Disconnect the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) pressure line (1) and the DEF return line (2) from the DEF
dosing unit
16. Disconnect the dosing unit electrical connector (3).
17. Disconnect the DEF pressure (6) and DEF return (7) line heater electrical connectors and remove from the
mounting bracket).
18. Remove the upper Aftertreatment Control Module (ACM) cover mounting bolts (5) and remove the cover
(1).
19. Disconnect the SCR outlet NOx sensor ECU electrical connector (2).
20. Disconnect the SCR outlet temp sensor electrical connector (4) and remove from the mounting bracket.
21. Remove the lower ACM cover mounting bolts (1) and remove the cover (2).
22. Disconnect the Soot Sensor Control Unit (SCU) electrical connector (5).
23. Disconnect the 21-pin ACM electrical connector (1).
24. Disconnect the 120-pin ACM electrical connector (4).
25. Remove the complete ATS harness.
