NOTICE
When reusing a NOx sensor, apply a small amount of anti-seize compound to the threads.
Excessive amounts of anti-seize will squeeze out when torquing, possibly contaminating
the sensor. New sensors already have a small amount of anti-seize compound on their
threads.

1. Apply anti-seize to the threads of the NOx sensor

2. Install the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) outlet NOx sensor (1) to the 1-BOX™. Use the slotted NOx
sensor socket and torque the Outlet NOx sensor to 50 N·m (37 lb·ft).

3. Install the SCR Outlet NOx sensor Electronic Control Unit (ECU) (7) onto the upper Aftertreatment Control
Module (ACM) cover (6) using the mounting bolts (2) and washers (4). Torque the bolts to 12 N·m (9 lb·ft).
4. Route the SCR outlet NOx sensor wiring harness over the support bracket and install zip-ties to properly
secure the harness.

5. Install the upper ACM cover (6) and torque the mounting bolts (5) to 10 N·m (7 lb·ft).
6. Connect the DEF pressure line (1) and the DEF return line (2) to the DEF dosing unit

7. Connect the batteries. Refer to OEM procedures.
8. If removed, install the passenger side fairing. Refer to OEM procedures.

Removal of the Selective Catalyst Reduction Outlet
Temperature Sensor

1. Shut off engine and apply the parking brake, chock the wheels, and perform any other applicable safety
steps.

2. Disconnect the batteries. Refer to OEM procedures.
3. If necessary, remove the passenger side fairing. Refer to OEM procedures.

4. Disconnect the DEF pressure line (1) and the DEF return line (2) from the DEF dosing unit.

5. Remove the upper Aftertreatment Control Module (ACM) cover mounting bolts (4) and remove the cover
(1).

6. Disconnect the Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) outlet temperature sensor electrical connector (3) and
remove from the mounting bracket.
7. To ensure proper installation, note the location of the zip ties securing the SCR Outlet temperature sensor
wiring harness to the 1-BOX™.
8. Remove the SCR Outlet temperature sensor wiring harness mounting zip ties.
9. Remove the SCR outlet temperature sensor (2) from the 1-BOX.
